Some good hard questions for y’all this week as we read through Colossians each day.
It’s getting harder to let what is preeminent in your life remain hidden. There really is a line being drawn these days and we are being forced to ask ourselves which side we are going to be on. Who/what is preeminent in your life? Who/what is preeminent in your home?
Be willing to wrestle this out honestly before God this week and ask Him to ‘let no one take you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.’ Col. 2:8
If He truly bought you with His blood, He deserves your allegiance in the highest and most honoured sense.
‘And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.’ Col.3:15-17
