It’s little details like this that I get pumped to notice! The young Samuel didn’t just hear a voice, he SAW JESUS!!!

Elkanah is a picture of God’s grace! “…he would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters” (everyone experiences blessings from God) “But to Hannah he gave a double portion, because he loved her…” (God’s people receive blessings over and above all the others)
