Hey there rich girl…

…this verse remind you of anything in Hosea? We can already start interpreting Scripture with Scripture and we’ve only read 3 books this year! 😲

Remember in Hosea God reminded His people that all their blessing and prosperity was coming from Him but they learned to love IT more than the Giver and it made them puffed up???

Hosea describes many of us Christians today in response to all God has fed us with! He provides for us abundantly and then we somehow come to believe we created our bountiful circumstance… and then love our stuff more than the One who gave it to us.
“It was I who knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought; but when they had grazed, they became full, they were filled, and their heart was lifted up; therefore they forgot me.” (Hos. 13:5,6)

WE are the rich in this present age. WE have been blessed with abundance.
Are you consumed with Christ or the stuff He’s showered down on you?

Hosea & 1 Timothy, written almost 800 years apart, are speaking the same truths to God’s people. 🙌🏻
