Share a fav verse or thought from your reading this week, or just post a wave to say you read along with us. ππ» Time to chat about Titus!
Hereβs one of my thoughts:
π In 2:9,10 Paul informs the Christians that they are bondservants of their Saviour just as he is. God is their master and there is a call to action. They had received the gospel and now they were to go live in a way that gave it to those around them. He got pretty specific in what it should look like whether you are a man or woman… kind of covered all the bases. π
π Read these next verses in light of the fact that we as women are the bondservants with instructions to be reverent, caring for your home, living purely, kind, etc.
π Titus 2:9,10 βBondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.β
π No room for arguing or trying to weasel out of what we are told to do. Pretty clear. Receiving the gospel means becoming a servant of God, which means your day to day life transforms into a Titus 2 life of godly womanhood.
π Beware your heart when it wants to receive the gospel but doesnβt want to give it. Ask God to draw you into the beauty of living a Titus life.
Leave some of your thoughts in the comments! ππ»ππ»ππ»
