Jesus tells the people earlier that rain & sun is brought to the good guys AND the bad guys… you can’t judge a guy by the circumstances of his life cuz they’re out of his control…
Later as He is teaching Jesus clarifies the thought by explaining that you can watch and see how things look after some bad weather comes to see what’s what.
That rain is going to come, make no mistake about that. But what’s left after the storm is the true evidence of a person’s life.
